Getting a lot of spam, or want to protect your domain's reputation when you send? Here are your options.

1. Spam filter in Plesk

If your email is on a VPS plan with Plesk, you can set up the spam filter per mailbox.

  1. Log in to Plesk and open Mail.
  2. Select the email address and open the Spam Filter tab (if it is available on your account).
  3. Turn the filter on and choose what happens to suspicious messages, e.g. move them to the Spam folder instead of deleting them.
  4. Add trusted senders to the allow list and annoying ones to the block list.

2. Email filtering service

For stronger protection, Blue Mint offers a service that scans messages before they reach your mailbox or before they leave it.

OptionPrice
Incoming or outgoing scanning€2.71/month
Bundles (up to including archiving)up to €9.49/month

VAT is added to prices. See the Email filtering page.

3. Do not become the "spam"

  • Set up SPF, DKIM & DMARC so recipients trust your messages.
  • Use strong passwords. A hacked account can send thousands of spam messages.
  • For bulk sending, use a newsletter service rather than plain email.
Tip: check your Spam folder now and then. No filter is perfect, and an important message may end up there.
