Setting up email in Outlook, Gmail, iPhone/Android

Once you have created your email account in Plesk, you can add it to the program or phone you use. Here is what you need.

Connection details

• Username: your full email address (e.g. info@mybusiness.gr).
• Password: the password you set in Plesk.
• Incoming and outgoing mail server: as shown in Plesk under Mail, in the account's setup instructions.

Choose IMAP rather than POP3 so messages stay in sync on all devices. Turn on SSL/TLS encryption. The usual ports are 993 for IMAP and 465 or 587 for SMTP. Confirm them in Plesk. Also turn on authentication for the outgoing (SMTP) server, using the same details.

Outlook

1. Choose File > Add account.
2. Type your email address and choose advanced options to set up IMAP manually.
3. Fill in the servers, ports and password, then finish.

Gmail

1. In Gmail, open Settings > Accounts and Import.
2. Add the account to check mail from other accounts and, if you like, to send mail as this address.
3. Use the server details from Plesk.

iPhone / Android

1. iPhone: Settings > Mail > Accounts > Add Account > Other. Android: open your email app and add an IMAP account.
2. Fill in the details and save.
