If your website has grown, or you need fewer resources, you can change your hosting plan without a new order and without moving any files.

When you need an upgrade

  • You are close to your storage limit.
  • You want to host more websites, databases or mailboxes.
  • You need more subdomains.

Compare the plans in Which VPS plan with Plesk should I choose.

Steps

  1. Open My Services and click the service you want to change.
  2. Choose Upgrade/Downgrade.
  3. Pick the new plan and billing cycle.
  4. Check the amount shown before confirming, then complete the order.
  5. Pay the invoice that is issued, if there is an amount due.

The change is applied to the same Plesk account, so your files, databases and email stay where they are.

Before a downgrade

  • Check in Plesk how much space you use and how many websites, databases and mailboxes you have.
  • If you exceed the limits of the smaller plan, delete or move the extras first.
  • Keep a backup before making the change.

If you do not see the upgrade option on a service, or have a question about the amount, contact us before completing the change.
