For .gr domains, certain changes to the registrant's details are made through the .gr registry and are charged. Here we explain what they are and how to request them.

Which actions are charged

ActionWhen you need itPrice
Registrant Name ChangeThe registrant stays the same but their name changes (e.g. a new company name).€17.50
Registrant Ownership TransferThe domain passes to another person or business.€17.50

VAT is added to prices. Changes to other contact details (e.g. phone, email) are not part of these actions.

How to request one

  1. Go to the .gr TLD charged actions page.
  2. Choose the action you need and enter the domain.
  3. Complete the order and pay the invoice.
  4. We will contact you about the details and documents the .gr registry requires for that action.

Good to know

  • An ownership transfer is not the same as a transfer to another registrar. An ownership transfer changes the owner; a registrar transfer changes the registrar.
  • Make sure the domain is active and not close to expiry. See Domain renewal & expiry.
  • If you are not sure which action fits your case, ask us before ordering.
